Dan Firova
Daniel Michael Firova (born October 16, 1956 in Refugio, Texas) is a former Major League Baseball catcher. He caught 17 games: 13 in and 3 in for the Seattle Mariners, and 1 in for the Cleveland Indians. In most of those games, he entered late in the game as a defensive replacement. He came to the plate a grand total of 7 times with no hits or walks. While Firova was a student at Refugio High School, he sustained a serious hand injury, accidentally cutting off one of his fingers while cleaning a band saw in shop class.〔Nelson, Kenda.
